Benefit Plans:
The Company sponsors a 401(k) benefit plan (the Westell Plan), which covers substantially all of Westell, Inc.'s domestic employees. The Westell Plan is a salary reduction plan that allows employees to defer up to 100% of wages subject to Internal Revenue Service limits. The Westell Plan also allows for Company discretionary and matching contributions. In January 2014, the Company established the matching contribution percentage made by the Company of 50% of participants' contributions, up to 4%. In October 2016, the Company established a prospective maximum employer match of $500 per calendar year. Matching contribution expense in fiscal years 2018 and 2017 was approximately $0.1 million and $0.2 million, respectively.
