Westell Announces Change of Auditor
AURORA, Ill., January 4, 2023 – Westell Technologies, Inc. (“Westell” or the “Company”) (Pink: WSTL), a leading provider of high-performance network infrastructure solutions, today announces the appointment of Baker Tilly (the “Successor Auditor”) as its independent registered public accounting firm effective January 3, 2023 to perform independent audit services for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.
The Audit Committee recommended and the Board of Directors approved this change after a competitive tender process with multiple PCAOB registered audit firms, which involved Grant Thornton (the “Predecessor Auditor”). The competitive tender process was designed to ensure the Company obtained competitive audit costs from a PCAOB accredited auditing firm.
The reports of Grant Thornton on the Company’s consolidated financial statements for the fiscal years ended March 31, 2022 and March 31, 2021 did not contain an adverse opinion or a disclaimer of opinion, and were not qualified or modified as to uncertainty, audit scope or accounting principles.
The Company has valued its longstanding relationship of over 6 years with Grant Thornton.
